March 10th, Sunday: The People’s Poetry Workshop, co-sponsored with Hallowell Pride Alliance. Bring work to share, this week’s theme: 'ecological possibilities’ 2 – 4pm, with refreshments.
March 23rd, Saturday: Full Moon Forecasting with Kate from Open Sea Astrology. Come for a little insight into how to connect with our intuition and resonate with the world using the current lunar energies! 12:30pm – 1pm (RSVP for gifted materials, donations welcome)
April:
April 6th, Saturday (through April 27th): Sourdough 102 Bread & Baking Class with baker, Josh Rollson. From starter culture through measuring, shaping, and baking. 4 - 6pm (4 class cycle every Sat in April). Space is limited, please sign up online or in-store in advance.
April 12th, Friday: Open-no-mic-poetry, bring work to share, support poets. Refreshments served. 5 - 6pm (2nd Friday of every month). This week we're proposing to read each other's work, bring a friend or trust a new face.
April 14th, Sunday: The People’s Poetry Workshop, co-sponsored with Hallowell Pride Alliance, facilitated by naturalist, poet, & editor Samaa Abdurraqib. Bring work to share, this week’s theme: Litanies and Lists. 2 – 4pm, with refreshments.
April 20th, Saturday: Full Moon Conversations with Kate from Open Sea Astrology. Connect with your intuition and the current lunar energies! Noon - 1ish (Please RSVP for gifted materials, donations welcome).
April 26th, Friday, 5 - 6pm: Author talk with Debra Spark celebrating her new novel Discipline from Four Way Books. Mystery, Maine history, art theory, philosophy, and intrigue. Books for sale and signing. Refreshments available.
April 27th, Saturday: Indie Bookstore Day!! Treats, new books, bread specials! Shop Small Bookstores, Shop Small Press Books!
May:
May 3rd, Friday, 5 - 7pm: From This Might Hurt Studios, illustrator/author/educator Isabella Rotman offers a primer on Tarot and guided readings. Books and Decks for sale. Refreshments available.
May 4th, Saturday 4 - 6pm: Sourdough 101 with baker, Josh Rollson. Includes a crash course on Starter Culture (includes starter; how to keep/start/build), and fermentation ins and outs. Sign up online or in-store.

We're open to author readings/oral storytellers, poetry and writing workshops, seed swap/saving/growing workshops, subversive cross-stitch/yarn bombing or alternative textile arts, 'zine/artbook binding/making, political, art, and philosophical lectures, foraging/fermenting/food making classes, renewable energy and climate change talks.
